Bounty Fresh Chicken President Tennyson Chen Wins Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2010

Bounty Fresh Food Inc President Tennyson Chen was awarded the Entrepreneur Of The Year Philippines 2010 in a recent gathering at Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

Recognized for his outstanding leadership for Bounty Fresh as one of the country’s largest and most reputable food producers and technology innovation with respect to the broiler chicken production industry, Mr. Chen will represent the Philippines in the upcoming World Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards on June 2011 in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Mr. Tennyson Chen also conceptualized the Chooks to Go brand with Bounty Agroventure, Inc., BFFI’s sister company. With barely two years, Chooks to Go has now over 700 branches nationwide selling 100 million chickens a year.

Chaired by corporate vice-chairman of Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation and former Philippine Prime Minister Cesar E. A. Virata, "all nominees went through a strict financial data ranking system used by all Entrepreneur Of The Year participating countries. The finalists were further evaluated by an independent panel of judges composed of distinguished personalities from government and business."

The Entrepreneur Of The Year was founded by Ernst & Young (US) in 1986 to recognize the achievements of the most successful and innovative entrepreneurs around the world. It was established in the Philippines by SGV Foundation, Inc. in 2003. Jollibee Foods Corporation President and CEO Tony Tan Caktiong was the first recipient of the Entrepreneur Of The Year Philippines award.
