Officials, customers and associates of Marriot Hotels got a taste of the tangy Tom Yum Goong (lemongrass soup) and savory Pad Thai noodle, among others, last October 20, 2010. Patrons experienced the colors and flavors of Thailand's favorite dishes for only P1350 net per person in Marriott Café.

It was a comfort to be back and taste Marriott's Thai buffet again. Other Thai dishes include Green Curry Chicken, Thod Man Pla, Thai Fried Rice, Seafood Curry

Pla Chu Chi (Steamed fish with Yellow Curry), Laab Gai (minced Chicken salad with shallots, mint leaves, & roasted rice powder), and Kluey Buad Shee (braised banana in coconut milk soup) Thai dishes were also served.
Dominic Sherry, regional vice president, sales and marketing for Marriott International Asia Pacific considers it as an exciting team effort with participation from many of their brands across the regions. She further adds that:
“Thai cuisine has gained worldwide popularity in recent years,” said “In an effort to restore Thailand’s position as a major tourist destination, we are reaching out to customers everywhere with what they love most about Thailand – its food.”
The “Worldwide Dinner Event” took place during Marriott International’s customer appreciation week - October 18-22, 2010 allowing Marriott properties across Asia, Europe and elsewhere to say thank you to its best customers while treating them to a dinner bursting with flavors and a gift box filled with favorite Thai recipes.
Representatives from the Thai Tourism Authority and Thai embassies around the world as well as media joined in the festivities. It was great to be part of Marriott Hotels' World's Larget Thai Dinner. :)
